Quinten Zijlstra
Junior Backend Developer | PHP & Node.js | AI & WhatsApp Solutions | Available full-time from July 2026
As a Junior Software Developer, my strength lies in building the logical foundations behind complex applications. I thrive in backend architecture, where precision and scalability come together.
I am currently completing my studies (expected July 2026), while working as an intern at Dokwurk on an innovative AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot. Within this project I am responsible for both the chatbot logic and the development of an accompanying employee dashboard, applying advanced techniques such as WebSockets and Webhooks for real-time data processing.
My ambition is clear: after graduating in July 2026 I want to work as a developer, combined with a part-time HBO degree. I am looking for an environment where I can tackle technical challenges and further develop my backend expertise.
Let's connect to discuss backend development, AI integrations, or future opportunities!

WhatsApp Chatbot/Dashboard Dokwurk
V1.0.3A web-based WhatsApp business dashboard built for internal use at Dokwurk. It integrates with the WhatsApp Cloud API to manage conversations, assign chats to employees, and send AI-assisted responses. The dashboard provides real-time chat updates via WebSocket and includes an admin panel for user and settings management.
Portfolio Website
V1.0.2I built this portfolio website from scratch to showcase my projects and development skills to recruiters and employers. What makes it different from a typical portfolio is that every project includes a full version history timeline with screenshots and videos, so you can follow exactly how my work evolved over time. I manage all content through a password-protected admin panel I built myself, with drag-and-drop media uploads and a live preview. The site is available in both English and Dutch and works on any device. I wrote the entire backend by hand in plain PHP 8.1 no frameworks, no shortcuts backed by a MySQL database, styled with Tailwind CSS, and running on Apache. Security was a priority throughout: session-based authentication, CSRF protection on every form, and bcrypt password hashing.
